If I teach with the best educational techniques,
and provide stimulating and motivational lessons,
but have not love,
I am but a time-wasting information processor.
If I spend hours preparing my lesson plans
with the clearest instructional objectives,
but have not love,
I am just an over-organized ideologue.

1 Corinthians 13 For Teachers
24 Hours A Day
If you observe a really happy man you will find him building a boat, writing a symphony, educating his son, growing double dahlias, or looking for dinosaur eggs in the Gobi Desert.

Sparky
The late Earl Nightingale, writer and publisher of inspirational and motivational material, once told a story about a boy named Sparky.
For Sparky, school was all but impossible. He failed every subject in the eighth grade. He flunked physics in high school, getting a grade of zero.
Sparky also flunked Latin, algebra, and English. He didn’t do [...]
A Matter Of Perspective
An American businessman was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellow fin tuna.
The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.
The Mexican replied, “Only a [...]

Tomorrow
He was going to be all that a mortal should be
Tomorrow.
No one should be kinder or braver than he
Tomorrow.
A friend who was troubled and weary he knew,
Who’d be glad of a lift and who needed it, too;
On him he would call and see what he could do
Tomorrow.
Each morning he stacked up the letters he’d write
Tomorrow.
And [...]

A Portrait of the Heavenly Father
Many years ago, as a teenager, in fact, I heard a wonderful sermon from Dr. Robert Ashcroft, the father of our present Attorney General of the United States. Dr. Ashcroft's message was called "A Portrait of my Heavenly Father." He took a small picture from his billfold and told us it was his earthly father and then gave us a verbal picture of him. "Now," he continued, as he picked up the Bible, "let me give you a portrait of my Heavenly Father."The 57 Cents That Made History
