“My toy is broken, will you fix it for me dad?” “Sure my boy, leave it with me and soon it will be better than brand new.” Ten minutes passed and the boy watched as his dad tried to fix the toy.

“You’re not doing it right dad. Give it to me, I may as well do it myself.”

After a long day of trying to fix it he returned to his dad with the broken toy.

“I broke it even more dad and now… now… will you try again?” “Sure my boy, leave it with me and soon it will be better than brand new.” This time five minutes passed and the boy watched as his dad tried to fix the toy.

“You are using the wrong equipment. Give it to me, I may as well fix it.”

After a long day of trying to fix it he returned to his dad with the broken toy.

“It will never be the same again, I broke it even more. Will you try?” “My son, leave it with me and I will make it look better than ever.” Only two minutes later the boy snatched the toy from his dad and said that he was taking too long.

“And you say it will look better than ever, you take far too long.”

Finally the boy gave up and again returned to his father with the broken toy.

“I am so sorry dad. I will leave you this time and I will return later. Will you fix my toy?” “I love you my child, I will do anything for you.” 30 minutes later dad knocked on the door and said that his toy was fixed.

As the boy opened the door all he could see was the glow of his NEW toy. He looked better than ever. It glowed and was really the best thing that he had ever see.

We give our toys to our father to fix too, but how often do we take them back and break them even more?
